Richard E Schimel represents clients in civil litigation at both the trial and appellate level in state and federal courts. He helps his clients in a wide range of civil matters, including, but not limited to: dog and animal related injuries, automobile, commercial transactions, condominium and homeowners’ associations, defamation, landlord/tenant matters, estate litigation and bankruptcy.
A frequent lecturer and author on condominium rights, pit bulls/breed specific legislation, animal injuries and a variety of insurance issues, Mr. Schimel incorporates his practical experience to help clients and educate the community. He has volunteered as a trial judge for high school and college mock trials, coached high school mock trial teams and served as a mentor to newly admitted members of the Maryland Bar Association.
